Museum Kampa Summer Stage to Welcome Adam Plachetka

On 21 June 2026, the Summer Stage of Museum Kampa will host an exceptional evening with acclaimed Czech bass-baritone Adam Plachetka. From his beginnings at the Prague Conservatory, Plachetka has risen to international prominence, performing on some of the world’s most prestigious stages, including the Metropolitan Opera in New York and the Vienna State Opera, where he has appeared in nearly one hundred performances to date.

Born in Prague and awarded a platinum record for his album of Czech repertoire, Plachetka will present the full breadth of his artistic versatility at Kampa. Praised by critics for a voice often likened to “liquid gold,” he returns to this unique venue after a two-year hiatus.

Combining contemporary architecture with the industrial charm of the former mills, the Museum Kampa Summer Stage provides a distinctive backdrop where heritage and modernity meet. In the heart of historic Prague, audiences will have the rare opportunity to experience one of today’s leading opera stars in an intimate setting—free from grand theatrical scenery, yet rich in emotional depth and immediacy.

Piano: David Švec, Chief Conductor of the South Bohemian Theatre
